Pep Guardiola refuses to be drawn into chairman’s argument as Man City boss snaps

Pep Guardiola refused to be drawn into a debate on the comments made by La Liga president Javier Tebas about ‘s finances. The Catalan was speaking ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup clash with EFL Championship side Plymouth Argyle.

It comes after Tebas revealed at the FT Business of Football Summit that he reported City to the European Commission for alleged breaches of rules in 2023. He said the case was currently “under investigation” by the executive body of the , who are responsible for developing and enforcing laws for its member states.

When quizzed on the recent comments made by Tebas, Guardiola responded with a snappy: “Next.” He repeated the reply three times before another question was eventually asked.
