This hidden gem is one of the most photographed bays in the region, which is just a testament to its beauty. Not only does it provide a beautiful landscape, but for those who like a bit of adventure, Botana Bay is renowned for fossil hunting and exploring rock pools.
Visitors to the beach have praised it for several things, resulting in it gaining four stars on TripAdvisor.
One reviewer said: “Botany Bay is one of England’s hidden beauties. Totally unspoilt and not overcrowded or polluted. A beach with proper golden sand and lovely white cliffs adorning the background. Would always recommend this beach to anyone and everyone!”

The peaceful atmosphere was also noted by previous visitors who highlighted the quietness of the beach.
“The beach is quiet and only a few people walking around. I really enjoy the fresh air smell like seaweed. The strange white rocks are quite interesting. It was such a pleasant place”, another reviewer added.
A visitor from last summer said: “A magical place to spend time with friends. Sea breezes, a great pub on the doorstep, wildflowers galore. There’s a naturist section along the dunes and lovely clifftop walks. Cherished memories made here with friends.”
