Suspicious death in Pemberton

Homicide detectives have been called in to investigate the suspicious death of a woman earlier this month in Pemberton.
Pemberton RCMP said it received reports of an unresponsive woman in the 7400-block of Prospect Street at about 10 a.m. on Feb. 22.
The woman, identified as 22-year-old Tabitha Peters, was pronounced dead. Officers didn’t say how she died. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has taken over the case.
IHIT released a photograph of Peters on Thursday.

Man charged in series of violent break-and-enters in Surrey
A man has been charged with several criminal offences in relation to violent break-and-enters and assaults Wednesday in Surrey.
David William Charles Hoffman, 38, has been charged with two counts of break-and-enter, one count of assault, two counts of mischief under $5,000 and one count of failing to comply with a release order.
Hoffman has been remanded in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
At about 1:30 a.m., officers arrived at the area of King George Boulevard and 160th Street in response to a call of a man breaking into several homes and assaulting people.
Paramedics arrived and treated two people for minor injuries.
Police say the suspect is unknown to the victims.
