has voiced his concerns about “tyranny” in the and voiced support for ally after several court rulings were paused or blocked by judges.
The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) chief expressed his frustration on his own platform, , shortly after a federal judge stopped Trump’s administration from conducting raids and arrests at certain places of worship for Quakers, Cooperative Baptists and Sikhs.
Musk’s ire was further stoked when another judge gave the government a two-day deadline to restart hundreds of millions of dollars in payments for US Agency for International Development (USAID) projects worldwide. “If ANY judge ANYWHERE can block EVERY Presidential order EVERYWHERE, we do NOT have democracy, we have TYRANNY of the JUDICIARY,” Musk vented.
However, the 53-year old, originally from Pretoria, South Africa, was quickly silenced as X users reminded him that this is how constitutional democracies function. “The judiciary interprets the laws and can constrain the president,” one person retorted. “Get over it and stop complaining about the way our government works.”
Another clarified: “Under constitutional democracies, judicial review exists precisely to prevent the concentration of power. The courts are not above the law; they interpret and uphold it. If a presidential order is lawful and constitutional, it will stand. If it is unconstitutional, it is the judiciary’s duty to strike it down.”

A third person told the Tesla CEO: “It sounds like you’re frustrated with the judicial system, but judges play a crucial role in balancing power and protecting constitutional rights. Without them, there’d be no safeguard against potential government overreach.”
Meanwhile a fourth schooled Musk on American history and governmental structure, explaining: “We have checks and balances, and a constitution working as it should. Judges don’t just rule, they rule on cases brought before them in court. This is literally by design of the founding fathers and the framing of the constitution.”
Musk soon reaffirmed his stance by sharing Turning Point USA founder, Charlie Kirk’s tweet, which read: “Today three activist judges blocked the democratic will of the people on three of Trump’s core campaign promises. Judge shopping for rubber stamped national injunctions must be reined in ASAP.”

It continued: “Time to force the issue at SCOTUS. In the 2018 Trump v. Hawaii case (the ‘Travel Ban’ case) Clarence Thomas wrote: ‘These injunctions did not emerge until a century and a half after the founding. And they appear to be inconsistent with longstanding limits on equitable relief and the power of Article III courts. If their popularity continues, this court must address their legality.'”
Musk endorsed Kirk’s message, retweeting it with his succinct response: “Nuts.”
Later on Wednesday (February 26), Trump commented during his first Cabinet meeting that the U.S. Government is plagued by “a lot of people who don’t exist.” He stated: “We have a lot of people doing their job, we have a lot of people who don’t exist, you look at social security as an example.
“You have so many people on social security who, if you believe it, are 200 years old and what we’re doing is find out where the checks are going and if someone is cashing those checks.”
