Spring officially arrives on March 20; however, it could come instantly for whole swathes of the country.
On March 7 and March 8, the sun will shine over eastern and southern England, giving millions of Brits a taste of the warmer weather that’s to come.
According to WX Charts, on March 8 at around 6 pm, the mercury will be as high as 15C in Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Kent, and East and West Sussex.
The Midlands, too, will be reasonably warm, with temperatures around 12 or 13C.

March 7 will also be a warm one, with the temperatures only a couple of points lower for the Midlands and south-east.
The south-west will also be pleasant, albeit not as warm as further east. Wales, the north-west, north-east, Scotland, and Northern Ireland will also remain cool.
It is important to note that the – the UK’s official weather forecaster – does not predict specific temperatures so far in advance. However, the long-range forecast does support the general trend in WX Charts’ forecast: that the north will be cool and the south and east warmer.
“A split in weather conditions is likely across the UK during early March. Northwestern areas will see some rain and stronger winds at times as Atlantic weather systems arrive from the west”, the predictions say.
“These spells of wet and windy weather will drift southeast to some degree but will weaken. High pressure is likely to have more influence across the south of the UK, at least at first.”

This Evening and Tonight:
A mostly dry evening and night with clear periods and light winds allowing a widespread frost, and local fog patches to form, especially in England and Wales. Breezier in the far northwest of Scotland and Northern Ireland with some showers.
Friday:
Largely dry with early frost and any fog clearing to leave plenty of sunshine, and mostly light winds. However, remaining breezier in the far northwest with the odd shower.
Outlook for Saturday to Monday:
Mostly fine across England and Wales with some sunny spells, though overnight frost and fog. Cloudier at times across Scotland and Northern Ireland with spells of rain and stronger winds.
