Banish air fryer grease ‘in no time’ with two simple tips – no scrubbing

With the popularity of air fryers not going anywhere any time soon, you want to make sure yours is in tip top shape.

It’s recommended to wash air fryers after every use, but sometimes cleaning can take a back seat.

To help you make sure the is thoroughly cleaned, cleaning influencer Jen, also known as @cleaningwithjen, shared two different methods for making sure all the grease is banished. 

In a video from January, Jen explained that her tips are for those whose air fryers are looking ‘worse for wear’, especially if it has a large build up of grease.

Firstly, if your air fryer’s state “isn’t that bad”, you’ll need to come armed with a degreaser and a good scrubbing implement to “scrub the living daylights of that drawer out with”. 

Jen recommended Fairy’s Power Spray and an electric scrubber for the job.

After that, run the air fryer basket under hot water and wash the dirt run away down the sink.

However if the air fryer’s grease and grime is too tough for this, you’ll need to attack it with something else.

Jen said: “Now if the situation inside your air fryer drawer is grim and you’ve lost all hope, then this is what you’re gonna do.

“Dishwasher tablet and some boiling hot water, leave it for 20 minutes and this will be your result. The dishwasher tablet will release the grime like nothing else.

“Then all you should need to do is to give it a quick wipe out and there you go, your drawers will be back to brand new in no time.”
