To ensure tourists take advantage of everything offered by , travel expert Ilana Schattauer from the YouTube channel published a discussing several free items, highlighting that guests can often take advantage of room service without any extra charge.
She explained: “This is the ultimate luxury, I think, and this is something that most cruise lines include for free. Now, many people aren’t aware of this because a few years ago, many cruise lines used to charge a nominal fee, maybe about $5 to $8 (£4 to £6) for room service delivery.
“However, almost all of the cruise lines still include a continental breakfast that will be delivered for free. What’s more, there are still some cruise lines that include free hot room service breakfasts and even free room service meals and snacks during the day.”

Whilst many cruise passengers think that they will be charged extortionate fees for having anything delivered to their cabin, most companies offer room service for free.
In many cases, passengers looking for some free VIP treatment can get several breakfast staples delivered to their door, particularly cold items such as cereals, fruit, and pastries.
Some cruise lines, such as Disney and Cunard, also offer free room service for other meals, which can be particularly useful for passengers who have had a busy day and would like a peaceful meal.

In addition, Ilana suggested that cruise passengers also take advantage of some luxury foods, such as steaks and lobster, which are typically available in the main restaurant for no additional cost.
She added: “Yes, on a cruise, your meals are included when you’re eating in the included restaurants or in the main dining room. Although there have been some changes in recent years, in our experience, we’re still seeing New York strip steak, prime rib, beef wellington, shrimp, and salmon on the main restaurant dining menu.
“And even though many cruise lines did away with their free lobster tail meals a few years back, when we were on board the Carnival Celebration just a few months ago, we were surprised to see they were still serving lobster tail [for free] on their seven-night cruises.”
Finally, whilst almost all cruise lines will charge extra for alcoholic drinks, Ilana noted that there are a few occasions where passengers can get champagne for free.
She advised: “Free champagne or free sparkling wine can sometimes be found at the art auction, so if you want to spend a couple of hours away from the sun during the day, head there and you’ll get some free champagne.
“There is also another time that you could get free champagne, and that is the champagne waterfall that happens on Princess cruises on the formal night or the Captain’s night. Other cruise lines may also have these special themed nights, and they might give out some free sparkling wine.”
