Beatles icon Ringo Starr’s ‘unrecognisable’ snap leaves fans floored all saying same thing

favourite forced fans to do a double take as he blew them away with his incredibly youthful appearance at a lively stage show in Nashville.

The infamous drummer, 84, took to the stage at The Grand Ole Opry with a performance of the fab four’s hit With a Little Help from My Friends. And it didn’t take long before the star was trending on X – formerly known as Twitter – due to his age-defying looks and high-octane dance moves.

The musician – whose real name is Richard Starkey – was seen jumping around onstage whole showing off his impressive vocals sporting a thick head of hair.

It’s fair to say fans were left gobsmacked over his youthful looks, with many claiming he was “aging in reverse” and even claiming his vocals were even better than his former bandmate Paul McCartney.

One user penned: “Wow, 84! He must have located the fountain of youth!” as another gushed: “I know he’s hitting the hair dye, but it’s still really amazing how healthy he looks after drying out in the late 80s.”

A third echoed: “He looks the same as he always did. Can’t believe he is 84. His voice is pretty good too. Bravo Ringo.” Meanwhile, one fan posted: “How do British rock stars live so long and do so well at old age?? Never thought I’d see the day where Ringo can claim to have a better singing voice than Paul…”

Another added: “Ringo looks amazing. Like he hasn’t aged a day” as one chimed in with: “Ringo is a beast and in such great shape for his age, it’s something to behold.”

In December, McCartney delighted fans when be pulled Starr on stage at his beloved London gig. He took to the stage for his Got Back tour at The O2 in Greenwich and invited Ringo up from the audience to join him on the drums for hits including Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band and Helter Skelter.

The pair appeared to be delighted to perform together as Paul wrapped his arm around Ringo in a touching moment for fans. Paul and Ringo’s performance was the first time the old friends have played together in five years, last taking to the stage together for Macca’s Freshen Up tour back in 2019.

Ringo is married to former Bond girl Barbara Bach. The actress made her name in the 1977 classic The Spy Who Loved Me, in which she portrayed the glamorous KGB agent Anya Amas, who saves the world and falls in love with the British spy played by .

Barbara has two adult children by her first husband, Italian businessman Augusto Gregorini. Ringo has three children who he shares with his first spouse, Maureen Starkey. Ringo and Barbara tied the knot in 1981 and have been going strong ever since.

Ringo, Paul, Jphn Lennon and George Harrison rose to fame as members of the iconic rock band, going on to become the best-selling music act of all time with an estimated sales of 600million units worldwide.

Although they formed in 1960, Ringo was the last to join the group in 1962, replacing drummer Pete Best who is affectionately refferred to as “the fifth Beatle”.
