Sean Stewart, son of legendary rocker , has reportedly entered rehab once again to address his ongoing struggles with addiction.
The 44-year-old has checked into Cliffside Malibu, an exclusive $80,000-a-month (£63k) rehabilitation facility, following an intervention from his concerned family, according to the .
A source close to the situation told the the publication: “Sean is in rehab for pill addiction. He’s had a long history of drug addiction, and he decided to get help when he saw that he was falling off the deep end again.
“There was a family intervention because they were worried. They are all able to see when Sean is sober and when he is not.”
The insider also noted that Rod Stewart is supportive of his son’s decision to seek treatment, saying: “In the end, Sean voluntarily checked in to save himself. Rod is proud of him for getting help. He is expected to do a 90-day stay, which is the norm.”

Sean’s reportted admission to rehab comes in the wake of his split from wife Jody Weintraub. Since then, he has been romantically linked to Julia Stambler, a former girlfriend of actor .
The luxury Cliffside Malibu facility offers a range of amenities, including breathtaking ocean views, an outdoor pool, a gym, and gourmet organic meals prepared by in-house chefs.
Patients benefit from a variety of holistic treatments, such as yoga, acupuncture, equine therapy, and group counselling.
Sean has previously been open about his struggles with substance abuse, attributing some of his troubles to the pressures of being the son of a famous musician. He once described being the eldest son of rock royalty as both a “curse and a hindrance.”

His substance use began at a young age, and by his teenage years, he had already experimented with alcohol and drugs.
In a past interview with the Mail, he said: “I would go to parties at that age and drink and smoke cannabis and cigarettes. It was very easy for me to get drugs. I would just walk into a party and someone would hand them to me. I hardly ever paid for them.”
By 19, Sean had developed a full-blown addiction to alcohol and drugs – including ecstasy, prescription painkillers, and eventually heroin.
His struggles led to multiple stints in rehab, an overdose, and legal troubles, including a 90-day jail sentence in 2001 for an assault incident in Malibu.
His latest stage of sobriety comes in the middle of some major life changes, including the dissolution of .
The couple, who tied the knot in Las Vegas on Valentine’s Day in 2023, had reportedly purchased a home together in Los Angeles before their relationship ended.
Following the breakup, Sean began dating Julia Stambler, who was previously involved with Charlie Sheen.
Recently, Sean and Julia were spotted on a $150 million superyacht with the Stewart family in Barbados as they with a lavish 10-day event.
