Dear Express Reader,
It is not often that I agree to give over the front page of our great newspaper for anything but the best news and picture stories to keep you fully informed.
But today, along with our peers, we have decided to dedicate our front and page two to a cause designed to protect our industry and its readers.
Tech companies want to freely use our content to fuel their artificial intelligence (AI) platforms.
We firmly believe the original campaigning content we work hard to produce and which you, our loyal reader pays for, should not be freely used in this way.
Along with our peers, we are taking a stand to make it fair and ensure the Government stands up to the tech firms and ensures fair pay for the work that fuels AI.
