The upcoming season of is finally on the horizon, as have confirmed that production has officially begun.
The show sparked a major frenzy on Monday when it posted a photo of a clapperboard on its official account.
The caption reads: “Attention @AllCreaturesTV fans, Exciting news the cast and crew have officially kicked off filming for Season 6 in beautiful Yorkshire today!
“We can’t wait to return to Darrowby with all of you soon,” they added as fans rushed to the comments with anticipation and excitement.
A thrilled viewer shared: “Fabulous, love this programme, can not wait,” while another labelled it: “The best show on TV.”

Although bosses have remained tight-lipped about the upcoming instalment, the clapperboard did reveal some insightful details.
While the photo was from the first take and slate one, they were filming the fourth scene of 15.

Although the release date has yet to be announced, if the past seasons are any indication, fans can expect the new episodes in autumn.
During season five, James Herriot (played by Nicholas Ralph) reunited with Helen Alderson (Rachel Shenton) and baby Jimmy after returning home from RAF training due to his brucellosis diagnosis, which made him unfit to serve.
Meanwhile, Mrs Hall (Anna Madeley) contributed to the war effort by becoming a black-out warden, Richard Carmody (James Anthony-Rose) was offered a spot on the research programme at Imperial College London.
