Jon Kay jokingly declared he was heading “off” while presenting Breakfast with on Monday, 24 February.
Jon and were back on TV screens with a new instalment of the morning TV programme as they looked through the day’s headlines and top news stories.
During one light-hearted segment on the show, Jon and Sally revealed that some employers had been considering introducing a designated hour during the working day for employees to exercise.
“What exercise are you planning to do today? Are you going to squeeze in your workout? Maybe before work, or really challenging after work? That’s always a tough one,” Sally said.
Jon then explained: “Well, what about during work? Because there is talk that some employers are thinking about giving staff an hour as part of their working day, not just for a lunch break but to have an exercise break.”
“I’m off!” he laughed before adding: “No, I’m not.”

The co-hosts continued to laugh at Jon’s remark, with Sally then encouraging him to take an exercise break. She quipped: “Go on, there is actually somewhere for you to go and exercise now if you would like to.”
“That’s why I’m here!” Jon said, with he and Sally erupting with laughter.
Jon and Sally then handed over to their Breakfast co-star Nina Warhurst, who was outside the studio in Salford Quays chatting to a group of runners.
