One ace has cast doubt over the prospective merger with following ’s intervention.

Golf’s civil war has been raging on for close to four years now, with the two tours having been at odds with each other that entire time.

There have been several attempts to end the split between the two parties, but deadlines surrounding any potential deals have come and gone with little progress made.

“I think that things are going to heal quickly. We’re going to get this game going in the right direction. It’s been heading in the wrong direction for a number of years. The fans want all the top players playing together and we’re going to make that happen.”
