When he’s not on set for shows like Bargain Hunt or enjoying time with his partner, Danny scours the country for hidden gems to sell via his business, Afrojunk, in Wellingborough. Among his recent discoveries was a charming French vintage portrait.

On X, Danny describes himself as a “decorative dealer and a lover of people”, boasting about being “very sustainable, very lucky and very planty”. He is fond of selling vintage art through Afrojunk.

Danny shared his journey into the antiques trade: “It was fate! I was at an auction down south and stumbled across a room that was being prepared for a Mid-20th Century sale, and I just loved all that I saw.”

He added: “Straight away I thought ‘I’m getting into this game; I’d love to sell this tackle’.”

The celebrity spilled the beans on a career path he’s yet to explore, revealing his dreams beyond the world of antiques.

He shared: “I’ve always thought of having my own bar, which could possibly still happen, but if I weren’t in the antiques game, who knows, I could be cleaning windows or flogging Ferraris.”

When it comes to unwinding, the star confessed that his downtime is scarce but cherished.

“I honestly don’t get a lot of free time. So much to do and so many places to be. I do enjoy dog walks, dining, dancing, music, travel and the occasional drop of rum,” he divulged.

And when it comes to indulging himself, he can’t resist a snazzy pair of shoes.

“I do like a good pair of shoes – quality, style, design and comfort! Maybe my love comes from me being born in Cobblers County or is it because, with big slabs of meat, it’s important to have tidy feet,” he quipped.
