has shared many insights into his life as a former working royal over the last five years, with the duke having made some surprising revelations.

While the Duke of Sussex, 40, may have seemed content with his lifestyle until he quit royal duty in 2020, along with his wife , it seems that there were a number of things the prince had not been keen on.

Not only did Harry resent being in the public spotlight as much as he was with limited privacy, but he also once shared how he was not a fan of one of the royal homes he was living in, even going as far to say as 43, while they were dating.

This brutal verdict was mentioned by the prince in his 2023 memoir Spare, which was highly critical of his life as a member of the Royal Family, which he eventually gave up to move across the pond to America.

Talking about his two-bed Nottingham Cottage home on the Kensington Palace estate in Spare, the prince said: “I was excited to welcome Meg to my home, but also embarrassed. Nott Cott was no palace.”

He continued: “We couldn’t wait to wake up in the morning, go for a long walk in the gardens, check in with the swans. Especially grumpy Steve.

While Harry may not have loved each of his UK homes, the prince has not uttered a bad word about where he lives with Meghan and their two children Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three.

The couple have lived in the home since 2020 and have yet to show any desire to relocate.
