Auzzy Blood’s ‘disturbing’ Britain’s Got Talent act sees viewers switch off in horror

Britain’s Got Talent was the scene of gasps and shudders as professional sword swallower Auzzy Blood delivered a performance so extreme it left viewers shaken.

Flocking to X, previously known as Twitter, fans didn’t hold back, with many labelling the act “disturbing” and pondering its place on TV.

A veteran of daring feats, Auzzy Blood holds three Guinness World Records and is well-versed in the art of shock and awe, having competed in various Got Talent franchises across the globe, including America’s Got Talent.

His brand of entertainment hinges on extreme body manipulation and gut-churning stunts that often have onlookers recoiling in discomfort.

His latest escapade on BGT’s stage saw him escalate his antics, engaging in perilous and blood-curdling tricks that made even the hardiest of judges and audience members tense up. While amazement held the panel captivated, it wasn’t all cheers from the home crowd; cries of “gross” were among the feedback, with a vocal stance against such radical displays gracing prime-time television.

The social media sphere buzzed with startled reactions, capturing the sentiments of a particularly unnerved viewer who exclaimed: “Auzzy Blood probably the most disturbing thing I’ve seen! what makes someone think I’m going to try and shove a metal hook up my nose.”

Some viewers were astounded by the performance, expressing mixed emotions on social media. One viewer exclaimed: “Ohh my god auzzy that was flipping mad that was hard to watch but wow that was brilliant at the same time.”

Another was left both terrified and impressed, writing: “I’m actually terrified but amazed at auzzy blood rn.”

However, not all responses were positive, with one viewer complaining: “AUZZY BLOOD on BGT was disgusting, not entertainment, pre watershed and a terrible example to children watching a supposed family show.”

Concerns over appropriateness were also raised by another viewer: “How horrific is that act? OMG so not suitable for kids to watch. One question though – How on earth would you even know you can do that? #BritainsGotTalent.”

Auzzy Blood has previously taken his shock-inducing sword swallowing act to new extremes on America’s Got Talent in 2022 and appeared on the Spanish version in 2023, , reports . His act provoked alarm, with Ant and Dec cautioning against attempting such feats at home.

Simon Cowell acknowledged the contentious nature of Auzzy Blood’s performance, admitting they might receive complaints but highlighting the act’s spine-chilling allure: “It’s spooky horror where you don’t want to watch it, but you do want to watch it. That’s obviously why we’re going to show it. We probably will get some complaints. Hopefully.”

He added humorously, reflecting on the oft-repeated warning to avoid replication: “I love it when they say ‘don’t try this at home’ like we’ve all got screws and things just waiting to do that.”
