president Javier Tebas has launched an extraordinary attack on after being riled up by a series of events, including the reaction to ‘s recent red card.

The reigning European champions have repeatedly suggested that La Liga officials have been conspiring against them. The sentiment has been echoed across the club’s media channels following a string of controversial refereeing decisions.

Earlier this month, they claimed that refereeing in La Liga had ‘reached a level of manipulation and adulteration of the competition that can no longer be ignored’.

Tebas, who has been outspoken in his criticism of Real Madrid, has since fired back with a sensational rant. He branded the Spanish giants a ‘whiny’ club and accused them of peddling a ‘manipulated’ narrative designed to paint them as perennial victims.

“We have had a lot of controversy over refereeing in recent weeks,” said Tebas. “The federation is not looking for a solution. Real Madrid TV, Real Madrid, is creating controversy and writing a false story and putting all football into question.

“All the clubs complain but Madrid puts the spotlight on it. It is an aggressive, verbal and manipulated story. I know many Real Madrid fans who do not agree with Real Madrid, which is a whiny club. It cries all day long.

“They cry for the weekend, they will cry for the following weekend and it is all the fault of a conspiracy.”

Real Madrid’s most recent gripe with the officials came during their recent game against Osasuna, when Bellingham was sent off for using foul and abusive language in a conversation with referee Jose Luis Munuera Montero.

The midfielder admitted to saying ‘f*** off’ in frustration, apparently at himself, but denied saying ‘f*** you’ towards Munuera Montero. Bellingham later said: “It’s clear that he made a mistake and there was a miscommunication.”

After their defeat to Espanyol earlier this month, Real Madrid sent a letter to Spanish authorities claiming that goalscorer Carlos Romero should have been sent off for a foul on Kylian Mbappe. They also argued that Vinicius Junior had a goal incorrectly ruled out.

Responding to the letter, Tebas said: “They are against everything. That is the reality. Real Madrid want to damage the competition, not just the referees.

“They have constructed a narrative of victimhood that culminated in the statement they released the other day. It is not true. We are going to file a complaint against the club and those who signed the letter and the board.

“We are analysing it from a legal point of view because, of course, this type of letter cannot be tolerated.”
