A great grandfather who pulled a pistol on a woman during a furious family argument has been jailed for five years.
Martin Gordon, 64, was arrested in Dudley in the West Midlands, on August 11 2024 after he was filmed brandishing a pistol on a residential street in broad daylight.
The great grandfather had stormed into the local Samson and Lion pub to confront his granddaughter over the removal of his wife’s ashes from the mantlepiece.
The family row, which resulted in a baseball bat being brandished by Gordon’s grandson, and Gordon waving a gun at his granddaughter Mia, was streamed live on Facebook.
West Midlands Police firearms officers descended on a nearby industrial site and arrested Gordon less than 40 minutes after the original call was made.
He was found with a magazine containing two bullets in his pocket, while the gun was still in the car.
Following an investigation by the force’s Major Crime Unit (MCU), Gordon, of Brierley Hill Road, Wordsley, admitted possession of a firearm.
