A woman shared how much her earnings have changed since she ditched the UK for – and she said there’s a big difference.

Geo, known as Geo in Spain on , regularly makes content for the social media platform. She recently revealed something pretty important about what it’s like to make a good life abroad.

In a candid video, she admitted she “earns more” living in Spain than she ever did working in the UK. However, despite the lifestyle boost, she said many people think you earn less if you move abroad.

Geo has lived in the sun for around six years and she admits she takes home “so much more” now. She also feels her mental health is much better, and she has time to do things like sit down and have a coffee.

These are just some of the things that she thinks adds to making her life more content. For her, it’s been a really good decision to leave the UK behind.

In the clip, Geo said: “It’s not dark when I wake up, and it’s not dark when I’m leaving work. I also earn so much more in terms of health.

“Being able to eat local, fresh food and have the sun on my skin and get fresh air in every single day. I earn more in happiness and the person that I am.

“There is so much socialising to be done after work, and I just don’t live for the weekends. So, maybe on paper, I don’t actually earn more – but can someone tell me where you can get a coffee for £1.20 in England?”

The video has been viewed over 4,000 times since it was shared, and people were quick to comment too. They had all sorts of thoughts and questions to share.

One person said: “I’m leaving the UK in three weeks, and moving to Valencia full-time. Honestly can’t wait.”

Another wrote: “Most of my Spanish friends are unemployed living in Spain, so it really depends on the circumstance. Great for those who can make it work.”

A third also replied: “We are moving to Spain next year. Scared not to get jobs, but I believe in my dream.”

Meanwhile, a fourth also commented: “Same here! But I also have more money than in Germany because of lower taxes and great company benefits. Moving to Spain was the best decision of my whole life – never leaving again.”
