Meghan Markle’s hilarious eight-word response when she’s recognised for Suits role

made a hilarious eight-word response when she was recognised for her former role as Rachel Zane in Suits.

The Duke, 40, and Duchess of Sussex, 43, flew to Canada last Friday to launch the seventh annual Invictus Games.

During a special breakfast with Team USA, some of the female athletes revealed themselves to the Duchess of Sussex as major fans of the popular US drama.

Speaking of the encounter, American athlete Leandra Moehring told : “We told her we saw her on Suits.”

To which Meghan, according to Leandra, replied, “I’m sorry I’m not wearing a pencil skirt.”

Meghan – who appeared on the show between 2011 and 2017 – was referring to her character’s go-to legal office uniform.

Speaking of the couple, Leandra – who is set to compete in skiing, indoor rowing, skeleton and swimming at the Invictus Games – said that she “loved” meeting Harry and Meghan.

She said: “They really took the time with each and every one of us.

“And despite people who are trying to keep them on schedule, they just did not mind taking pictures at all. And it was just super neat. I loved them.”

Athlete Bryce Ewing also spoke of her experience at meeing the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in Canada – in particular Meghan, who she described as “really caring”.

She said: “When Meghan looks at you, she really looks at you, and you feel it in your soul. She’s really caring. She’s very intuitive. She’s so down to earth, and she looks like she really cares.” Bryce claimed that even as people were trying to pull the pair away, Meghan and Harry were “still trying to sit and talk”.

Meghan has to care for their two children – Archie, five, and Lilibet, three – in California. will, however, remain in Canada until the end of the Games on Sunday.

The 43-year-old has to share a picture of some gifts they received for their children. The picture was posted along with the caption, which read, “”A taste of Canada and the Invictus Games for our little ones! Cheering you on from home!”
