Social Media Reacts To Tulsi Gabbard’s Confirmation As National Intelligence Director

The Senate may have confirmed Tulsi Gabbard as Donald Trump’s director of national intelligence, but many people on social media remain skeptical that she is the right person for the job.

The Senate voted narrowly52-48 for Gabbard, mostly along party lines (except for former Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell).

The confirmation comes after months of contentious debate about Gabbard’s qualifications for the role, with her lack of experience in the intelligence field, her pro-Putin views, and her support of now-deposed Syrian President Bashar Assad all playing factors.

Not surprisingly, people on social media had thoughts, including many politicians.

It is hard to imagine someone more disqualified to run our intelligence agencies than Tulsi Gabbard.

Regular citizens had thoughts as well.

Tulsi Gabbard has just been confirmed as the Director of National Intelligence. 😫

Tulsi Gabbard huh? I’ll say this for Trump; he’s adept at getting the most wildly unqualified people into significant and impactful government roles. If the first three weeks is any indication these next four years are gonna be some kind of fuckery. Buckle up.
