Netflix’s latest survival show has catapulted 12 celebrities into the wilds of Costa Rica, culminating in an unforgettable adventure. After enduring a series of punishing trials, one star emerged victorious.
The final showdown featured five contenders: rapper-cum-chef Big Zuu, pop sensation Una Healy from The Saturdays, fashionista Lottie Moss, broadcaster Steph McGovern, and actor Kola Bokkini.
In a nail-biting ‘Bear Pit’ finale, only Big Zuu, Una, and Steph managed to break free, leading to the exit of Lottie and Kola.
Adventure icon Bear Grylls faced the tough decision of selecting the ultimate survivor and ultimately bestowed the honour upon Big Zuu (born Zuhair Hassan), presenting him with a unique trophya rope.
Reflecting on his triumph, the personality shared: “It feels incredible. I’m very happy. It’s been a long journey, a lot of ups and downs but I’m happy that I made it.”

Big Zuu also disclosed his intentions for the symbolic rope awarded by Bear, adding significance to his victory.
He elaborated: “I’m going to hang it up in my house with the carabiner that I got as my final tool. So, it might not mean a lot to people when they walk in my house, but it will mean a lot to me.”
Through this journey, Big Zuu acknowledged personal growth and a deeper connection to what truly matters.
The chef reflected on the overall experience, saying: “As a whole it’s been really, really good in terms of growth, learning, and disconnecting from the outside world. Time goes so slow in there but not in a bad way.”

He continued: “You can reconnect with the world, wake up to the sunrise, eat food at sunset, not really care about what time it is, not caring about what’s going on in the world, reflecting on stuff every day, connecting with new people. A lot of good, good moments in that.”
Bear announced the winner, exclaiming: “One person stands out in terms of positivity, relentlessly giving their everything, in terms of calm under pressure, having that never giving up attitude and in terms of finishing this adventure strong.”
“And that winner is Big Zuu,” he announced, prompting everyone to gather around Big Zuu for a celebratory hug by the campfire.
