An insider has claimed that the real reason will leave alone and is down to his good relationship with King Charles.

The Duke of Sussex put himself in a tricky situation after in the past in his memoir Spare, published in January 2023.

Harry’s revelations sparked a row with the Heritage Foundation, a conservative Washington DC think tank, which demanded the US Government release Harry’s immigration records.

He told the New York Post: “I don’t want to do that [deport ]. He’s got enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible.”

The next day, the duke gave a speech in front of 40,000 people during the Invictus Games opening ceremony, condemning “weak moral character in the world” before he thanked the veterans in what was viewed as a swipe at Mr Trump following his comments on .

Now a source claimed the real reason behind the US President’s comments is rooted deeply in his “warm relationship” with the monarch, and now recently his son, the Prince of Wales, too.

They claimed that if Mr Trump were to deport the duke, he would have nowhere to go but return back to the UK, which could cause a headache for the royals.

They told : “Having him back in the UK is actually harder than having him kept away in the USA.”

Mr Trump is thought to have first met the monarch back in 2005 when he was still Prince of Wales, during an event at New York’s Museum of Modern Art.

The two men also spent a lot of time together during Mr Trump’s 2019 State Visit to the UK, in what was his first term in office.

Back then, the US President gushed about Charles: “He is really into climate change, and I think that’s great. I mean, I want that. I like that.”

Last year, Mr Trump praised the British royals again, after he met privately with in France.

He said: “I had a great talk with the prince. He’s a good-looking guy. He looked really, very handsome last night.

“Some people look better in person? He looked great. He looked really nice, and I told him that.”

The outlet claimed that the US President is also due to carry out his second State Visit to the UK but although there is “nothing in the diary” this year it is alleged that there are “plans to roll out the red carpet”.

Meanwhile, Mr Trump’s relationship with the King and the Prince of Wales is a stark contrast to the one he has with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been in an ongoing feud with the new US President since before they moved to the US back in 2020.

The spat between the Sussexes and the Trumps began in 2016 before Meghan married into the Royal Family when she accused the new US president of being “divisive” and “misogynistic” during an interview on The Nightly Show With Larry Wilmore.

In 2019, Mr Trump replied to her comments, telling the Sun before his trip to the UK: “I didn’t know she was nasty.” He attempted to dismiss the comment despite it having been recorded.

A year later, he hit out at Meghan again, saying: “I’m not a fan of hers. I wish a lot of luck to Harry, he’s going to need it.”
