‘P***y Move, Hegseth!’: Jordan Klepper Taunts Defense Secretary After ‘Weird’ Idea

“Daily Show” correspondent Jordan Klepper on Tuesday mocked Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth as President Donald Trump’s “top Cabinet member if you go by blood alcohol level.”

Hegseth this week changed the name of North Caroline’s Fort Liberty to Fort Bragg, which had been the name of the Army base until 2023, when it was changed to stop honoring Confederate Gen. Braxton Bragg.

Restoring that name became a cause of many on the right ― except Hegseth didn’t quite deliver what they wanted. To get around a law preventing names that honor Confederates, Hegseth’s order renames the base for Pfc. Roland L. Bragg, a little-known WWII figure.

“You named Fort Bragg after a different Bragg? So after all that bitching about not giving into ‘woke history,’ you’re basically admitting that we shouldn’t name military bases after Confederate generals,” Klepper said. “Well it’s a good thing woke is over, because I think I can say this now: That’s a pussy move, Hegseth.”

Klepper pointed out that Roland Bragg didn’t even have a Wikipedia entry until this week.

“Roland Bragg is not a famous figure in military history,” Klepper said. “He’s just someone who worked for this weird name switcheroo idea. Pete Hegseth basically said, ‘Find me a guy named Bragg who served in the Army and didn’t own slaves.’”

Klepper wondered how far Hegseth would take it.

“Why do I get the feeling Pete’s gonna try to pull this with his wife?” he asked. “‘Baby, baby, I didn’t cheat on you. Her name was also Susan, OK? I’m restoring greatness to our marriage!’”
