star Luis Diaz has seemingly already planned for his next career move after football amid speculation he’s being targeted by . The Colombian international has played a vital role under this season, playing 33 times in all competitions and scoring 12 goals.
But he’s long been linked with a move to Catalonia, with his father Luis Manuel Diaz previously stating it was his son’s “dream” to play there.
And that apparent dream could now be a step closer with a potential swap deal being touted between the Reds and the Spanish giants.
According to reports in Spain, Barcelona are looking to take advantage of Slot’s failed search for a holding midfielder last summer. They are said to have opened talks over a deal that would see them sign Diaz, with Frenkie De Jong heading to Anfield in return.
Barca’s sporting director, Deco, is seemingly keen to pursue negotiations. Diaz is currently contracted to until 2027, although doubts over his future are growing having so far failed to agree on a new deal.
However, it’s not just a switch to that the forward seems to have his eye on. The 28-year-old has also mapped out life after retiring from the professional game, which embraces another of his life passions.

Diaz has already joined Colombian rapper Ryan Castro on a track. Now, in an interview with the Sports Illustrated YouTube channel, he’s not ruled out potentially going into the industry full-time one day.
“I’ve always been attracted to music, I’ve always liked it,” he said, before admitting he owned his own equipment. “I also have a mini studio set up at home, a small piano.”
The star did insist his current focus was on football, but dropped a further hint over his ambitions. “For now, I’m fully focused on what I want on the pitch, and we’ll see in the distant future, maybe. I do like music a lot.”

Diaz signed for from in January 2022 in a £37.5m deal. He’s since become a cult hero on Merseyside, and received heartwarming support from the club during his father’s kidnapping ordeal the following year.
Slot is expected to do a lot of business this summer after the club failed to bring in any new faces during January. And releasing Diaz could save a sizable fee for Fenway Sports Group if they could get De Jong in return.
