Ozzy Osbourne fans left furious over Black Sabbath’s eye-watering ticket prices

fans hoping to get their hands on tickets for his upcoming final performance with Black Sabbath were left fuming when the ticket prices were revealed during the artist presale on Tuesday (February 2).

Joining the queue a pop up messasge from indicated prices, which were set in advance by the tour, would range from £197.50 to £834 including fees.

This did not include VIP packages and one through to the sales section it was shown VIP packages ranged from £329.50 to an eye watering £2,932.50.

Ozzy, 76, reuniting with his Black Sabbath bandmates one last time to headline a one-day festival featuring dozens of bands they inspired, including Metallica, Pantera, Slayer, Gojira and Anthrax.

Profits from the show, which takes place in Birmingham’s Villa Park on July 5, will be split equally across three charities – Cure Parkinson’s, the Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Acorn Children’s Hospice.

Fans were not impressed by the astronomical ticket prices, which also saw purchases limited to two tickets per household. This meant people would be unable to bring their children unless they managed to purchase a second set of tickets via someone else’s registered card with a different address.

One fumed: “I get that all the money is going to charity, but the price of tickets for Back to the Beginning is crazy. I’ll wait and see if Sharon organises a live stream of the gig. #BlackSabbath #OzzyOsbourne.”

On seeing the prices another commented: “That might be a little too rich for me. #OzzyOsbourne #BlackSabbath.” A third chimed in “Black Sabbath tickets from £197.50 to £834. Bloody hell.”

“Jumped in the Black Sabbath tickets presale queue for s**** and giggles just to see how long it is and there are 34k ppl ahead of me. Thoughts and prayers to those who want tickets holy s***,” a fourth exclaimed.

“Man, I knew Black Sabbath tickets were gonna be expensive but over 800 pounds for tickets is actually a crime wtf,” another complained.

The most expensive tickets available this morning called the “Ultimate Side of Stage Experience” retailed for neraly £3,000 before fees. For that price fans get to enjoy the show from side of stage viewing platform or the Gold Circle. These are standing tickets. There are dedicated toilets and a quick serve cash bar with four drink tokens included in the price.

They will also enoy a pre-show lounge which includes a complmentary bar with beer, wine and soft drinks and a selection of small appetisers. An exclusive Black Sabbath merchandise bundleis included in the eye watering price and an Ordinary Man LP personally signed by Ozzy himself.

This was the first pre-sale for the event which will have a capacity of around 40,000. Although artist pre-sale is usually limitd to fan club members or newslette subscribers Ozzy Osbourne’s social media posted a link and a code on Monday night (February 10) ensuring there was a frenzy for tickets.

The allocation for the artist pre-sale sold out in minutes. However fans wll have another chance to buy through the Live Natio pre sale, the Download Family pre sale or general sale which starts at 10am on Friday February 14th.
