Seth Meyers Celebrates New Trump Move In Most Sarcastic Way

“Late Night” host Seth Meyers on Monday mocked President Donald Trump’s decision to rename the Gulf of Mexico as the “Gulf of America” and declare last Sunday, Feb. 9, as the first “Gulf of America Day.”

“That’s right. You might be feeling down about the world, but then you remember it’s ‘Gulf of America Day,’” Meyers sarcastically quipped.

He then appeared to talk to himself, or someone off camera, when he continued with: “But this is fucking nuts, right? The guy’s been in office less than a month and he’s already renaming bodies of water and then declaring holidays? It’s crazy, right?”

“I already can’t remember to buy a Valentine’s present. Now my wife’s going to be all like, ‘What’d you get me for Gulf of America Day?’” the comedian continued. “Un-American? I’m not being un-American. I just think it’s stupid. OK, fine, fine, fine. Fine.”

Meyers then appeared to submit to Trump’s announcement and celebrated it with a party hat and horn.
