Sometimes, a garden task can be too mammoth to undertake on your own, and so you have to get the professionals in.
Landscaper George Hoskins took to to say that a “customer asked for a modern garden,” so he decided to “take it to the next level” with what he designed for them. At the start of the video, the was truly a building site, with rubble everywhere and a digger on the loose. Even for those with the best imaginations, it was hard to imagine what the garden was going to look like.
Concrete was added to the space, a wall was built with bricks, and the garden began to take shape just 20 seconds into the . Paving slabs were measured up and fitted onto the floor, and finishing touches were added to the wall that had been built.
…
Different shapes were even made out of the paving slabs, as one of the installations in the garden was a circular shape – and it was done with such professionalism and precision.
A border of square tiles was added around the perimeter of the circular section, and as the video progressed, it became easier to imagine the landscaper’s goal for the garden.
Paving slabs were then added to create a path, and pebbles were added around them to give the effect of a modern take on a secret garden. More stones were added around the paving, and they were flattened to ensure they wouldn’t be easily kicked up. The garden’s colour theme was various shades of grey, giving it a modern feel.
They then made a modern, slatted fence, and it was in keeping with the colour scheme of the house from the outside.
…
Dried aggregate was then added to the remaining parts of the garden that weren’t already filled with little grey stones, and it brought the whole vision together.
Some grass was then added to the central part of the garden to give it a fresh look, while the grey and neutral theme kept it on brand for modernism. The results were seriously impressive, and it looked like a whole new space.
In the comments, some people said they didn’t like the “lack of plants, shrubs, etc.,” but one woman defended them, saying that not everybody can do high-maintenance gardening like that.
She penned: “Love it, absolutely stunning… Can’t believe people are slagging it off, low maintenance gardens are great for most people who don’t have the time or, like me, aren’t fit enough anymore!”
“I was so happy when they kept grass. I hate it when people have modern gardens with no grass,” someone praised, with another adding: “That’s actually phenomenal! Fantastic work! I’d be very pleased”.
