Former star opened up about his gruelling battle with arthritis on .
Speaking to presenters and , Adam, 36, opened up about the extent of his pain and revealed he has been living with the condition for two and a half years.
He explained: “It’s been tough. I’m not overexaggerating when I say this but those two and a half years, every day I’ve been in pain.”
The star has tried out different medications and sought advice from several doctors to find a way to cope with the disease, admitting he has now found “a little bit of hope” by eating a carnivore diet.
The carnivore diet is made up primarily of animal products including meat, fish, eggs, animal fats and small amounts of low-lactose dairy products. It’s high in protein and fat, but low in carbohydrates.

“I’ve noticed a huge difference, especially within the past couple of weeks,” the former soap star explained. “It’s given me a little bit of hope now.”
He continued: “I feel like the inflammation is going down a little bit and I’m getting my life back which is the most important thing.”
With arthritis being hereditary, Adam believes his dad could have had it, but can’t be sure as he never spoke about it.
Despite his gruelling and painful health battle, Adam is looking at the positives as he declared: “I can see light at the end of the tunnel. I’m feeling the best way I’ve felt for a while.”
Adam, who is set to reprise his role as Donte Charles in series 15 of Waterloo Road later this month, previously admitted his condition means .

“But, even after the diagnosis it’s finding the right medication that works for you and everybody is different.”
