When you spot a crawling through your home, your first instinct may be to grab something and kill it. but this may be doing more harm than good.
Their unusual appearance, rapid movements and the potential for venom are just a few of the reasons why we are fearful of spiders.

They usually only bite humans if they feel threatened, like when they’re trapped or crushed are often docile and friendly.

Squishing a spider doesn’t just cost the arachnid its life, it may take an important predator out of your home.
Although murdering the unwelcome spider may provide tranquility, this will only last a short time as experts say to prepare for an influx of other bugs creeping and crawling their way in.
Spiders are natural predators of the bug world, capturing pests within your home that might otherwise be scuttling about and laying eggs.
Pests like mosquitos, cockroaches, earwigs and even clothing moths could make a comeback in your home if there are no spiders.

Spiders also eat other spiders too, so you could end up with even more moving in pretty quickly after you got rid of the last one.
Although almost all spiders are venomous, only a few can cause serious harm to humans. Most spider bites are not harmful to humans because their fangs are too short or fragile to penetrate human skin.
How to get rid of a spider safely
If you do spot a spider and really can’t stand the thought of it, there are ways you can safely move the spider on without causing it any harm.
Try capturing it with a jar and then release it outside.
