had to intervene to prevent a celebrity contestant from making an embarrassing exit on , as it seemed they might not even secure £100.
The latest series of specials featuring well-known personalities resumed following this week’s Dancing on Ice results. Jeremy, the Top Gear icon, sat across from Tony Bellew.
To secure £100, Tony was asked ‘Which of these is a term meaning to socialise with other people, especially those who are deemed important?’ Assuring Tony that he was ‘starting with an easy one,’ Jeremy presented him with the options a. Digestive b.
Shortbread c. Ginger Nut and d. Hobnob.
Looking utterly baffled, Tony responded: “I’m not going to lie, I’ve never heard of this phrase before” and, keen to ensure Tony’s charity didn’t miss out, Jeremy hinted that he ‘had helped’ contestants in similar situations previously.

He then gave away the correct answer, which was d. Hobnob, with a barely concealed cough.
After nearly walking away empty-handed, Tony later quipped that a question about the popular film Ocean’s Eleven was ‘easier’ than the £100 one, cheekily saying to Jeremy: “I don’t know what kind of parties you go to! ” Fortunately for Tony, after his initial uncertainty, his fortunes improved dramatically, and he ended up, like Julie, securing a win of £64,000.
Clarkson was heard making a number of cryptic comments about Tony’s chatty nature and deliberating of the questions, fans rushed to social media to ask the same thing.

One said: “I wonder how long that episode of #whowantstobeamillionaire actually took to film. But well done Tony, you got there in the end!”
Another added: “Bet Tony did a lot more deliberation than what was transmitted because Jeremy was making a big point of it.”
A third chimed in: “Thank goodness!!!!! No wonder he’s relieved. Quick with the next question though as that klaxon could screech at anytime & there’s no rollover on celebrity specials nowadays.”
A fourth added: “I’d love to know how long this took to record as per Jeremy’s comments. Sounds like Tony was taking his time and it’s been edited down.”
A fifth gushed: “Tony Bellew and are a double act I never knew I needed.”
