Nelly Furtado stopped to pose with behind the scenes of the opening ceremony of the on Saturday before being swiftly interrupted by .

The singer shared a clip on of her dressed in a jumpsuit with a warm jacket over the top, posing alongside the Duchess of Sussex with the Duke of Sussex appearing to surprise them as he photobombed the clip midway through.

The singer was among the musical stars who with a motivational performance at the BC Place in Vancouver.

Nelly captioned the post: “They’re beautiful, that’s for sure.”

Fans flocked to the comment section: “Love this video of gorgeous Nelly & Duchess Meghan & just photobombing.”

One fan could not believe the interaction between the singer and the royals: “The most unthinkable moment in the history of Harry with Meghan, next to Nelly Furtado.”

The show also featured performances by Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, US pop star Katy Perry, US singer-songwriter Noah Kahan.

Chris Martin, the lead singer of Coldplay, gave a shoutout to Harry during his performance. He said: “I’d like to say thanks, of course, to .”

“When he called me he said, ‘I’ve called every other musician in the world, they all said they’re not available so I have to call you’. And I said ‘your royal holiness, I’m honoured’.”

He added: “But thank you Harry for being such an inspiring leader and kind and sweet man, and I hope you have the most wonderful games of all. And it’s a pleasure to be here.”
