A fan has shared a no-fuss hack for getting your sparkling clean.

If you have any spare dishwasher tablets lying around, cleaning fan Danielle claims these are your new best friend.
Danielle, who goes by @cleaningwithdanielled on shared her quick and easy to banishing air fryer grease.
Simply place a dishwasher tablet inside the air fryer drawer, add a generous amount of boiling water before leaving to soak for half an hour.

Once the time is up, pour away the greasy leftovers and give it rinse.
Danielle said in her video: “Here’s how I clean my air fryer with dishwasher tablets. So I pop one dishwasher tablet in each drawer, leave them to soak with boiling water for around half an hour.
“And just simply empty and rinse. It’s as easy as that. The dishwasher tablets will actually break down all the fats and oils, so it can go down your drain, don’t worry about that.
“This is definitely one of my favourite methods because it’s just so quick and easy to do.”
However, Danielle did warn in her caption: “I know a lot of people on do this method and also “cook it” please gosh do not do this!”

Danielle urged people to forget trying the ‘cooking’ method to clean the air fryer.
Cleaning experts at Which? previously warned about the viral ‘hack’ which ‘cooks’ soapy water in the air fryer basket.
The ‘air frying’ water hack is the “dumbest” way to clean the appliance, the expert said in a video post on Which’s in 2024.
The ‘hack’ can cause a fire hazard and you risk burning down your house, as well as breaking your air fryer.
The expert said: “Cleaning after every use might seem like a bit of a chore, but actually uses the least effort in the long run.”
