Donald Trump has slammed Prince Harry and his “terrible” wife – but he revealed he has no plans to deport the British royal.

The 40-year-old prince’s immigration status has been subject to legal scrutiny in Washington DC, with the Heritage Foundation questioning how he managed to obtain a US visa, given his previous admissions about drug use in his book Spare.

Despite this, the 47th President isn’t interested in deporting the man fifth in line to the British throne. “I’ll leave him alone,” Trump told the New York Post. “He’s got enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible”, he added.

Previously, President Trump accused Harry of being “whipped” by Meghan, adding: “I think poor Harry is being led around by the nose.”

His comments came in response to the Duchess’ allegations that Trump was “divisive” and “misogynistic”.

The US Commander-in-Chief has been far more favourable towards ‘s brother, William.

Trump and the future king were pictured together in Paris at the reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral. The 78-year-old, who had won the presidency but had not yet been sworn in described William “a great young man”.

The Heritage Foundation has raised the question of how obtained his US visa, given he admitted in Spare that he had taken several different illicit substances.

“Anyone who applies to the United States has to be truthful on their application, and it is not clear that is the case with ,” Heritage’s Nile Gardiner told the Telegraph.

The Foundation alleges that was given favourable treatment by the Biden administration, as he and Meghan fled the UK in January 2020.
