Viewers online are certain Marti Pellow the renowned frontman of Wet Wet Wet is Wolf, a pop sensation that enjoyed success from their formation in 1982 until their initial split in 1997, and again from their reunion in 2004 until Pellow’s departure in 2017.
On the platform X, formerly known as Twitter, one person commented: “Hmm now Wolf sounds a lot like Marti Pellow this week.”
Meanwhile, another speculated: “Who else had a song called Angel Eyes…Wet Wet Wet. Wolf is Marti Pellow. He hardly disguised his voice tonight.”

In a previous discussion with Metro, Marti revealed he actually received the seal of approval from the Troggs’ lead singer. He said: “I remember playing the song for Reg, he came to see me when we were on tour.”
The singer recalled: “I remember he took me aside and he was quite emotional,” he told Marti: “‘I love what you’ve done with our song’. And for me, that was a big compliment purely from the point of view that I wear that song and the same way that he did. It’s part of my makeup.”
