It may seem strange, but lemons are one of the best natural remedies to clean taps as they contain a high amount of citric acid, which will react to the minerals in limescale stains to break them down.
Citric acid is incredibly effective at removing limescale but is also a mild acid which will be gentle on the metal casing around your taps and will not damage them like many commercial products would.

Hold the lemon in place, cover it with a plastic bag and then tie it with an elastic band to secure it.

The next day, simply remove the lemon slice and wipe the tap. The limescale should come away easily so your sink is completely clean.
