One 0% wine got me through Dry January, and it’s so good I’m not giving it up

January is the perfect time to set aside the excess of the Christmas season and take a break from the .

Having committed to a (mostly) Dry January, I spent the longest month of the year focusing on being a bit more

Most importantly, I stayed away from the and swapped my Friday night tipple for something a bit less exciting.

Eager to find a drink that wasn’t loaded with sugar or bubbles, I started to trawl the alcohol-free options in my local

While some bottles were too sweet or tasted artificial, one bottle from absolutely hit the spot.

Alcohol-free wine offers the flavours and aromas of traditional wine without the alcohol, making it a great alternative for those who want to enjoy the experience without the side effects.

The Alcohol Free Rose (Fruity and Bright) from Marks and Spencer is just £4 a bottle and has a light and refreshing taste that is almost as pleasant as the real thing.

Served nice and chilled, I found this to be highly drinkable, without that artificial fruit taste that some alcohol-free wines seem to have.

A great choice to complement my freshly made dinners to help keep those calories down, I never once felt like I was going without despite the complete lack of booze.

While I barely saw the sun shine through the dark days of January, I have a feeling this beautiful bottle would be a great choice for Easter meals and summer drinks in the garden.

Don’t just take my word for it. Fellow alcohol-free fans have been leaving their thoughts on the Marks and Spencer website.

One customer said: “It is definitely NOT a fancy fruit juice but a de-alcoholised rose. Try it – I was pleased and so were my friends who do drink.”

A second added: “I’ve tried quite a few alcohol-free wines and I found this one better than most.” A third said: “Excellent value for money for a pleasant non-alcoholic drink.”

While I’m not saying I won’t be reaching for the Minuty any time soon, I’ll definitely keep a bottle of this in the fridge for times when I fancy the flavour but not the booze.
