The much-anticipated competition, which sees wounded, injured, and sick (WIS) servicemen and women compete across a range of sports, will kick off once more tomorrow (Saturday, February 8). Now in its seventh year , the games will unfold in Vancouver and Whistler, Canada.
The event’s official page shared an update on Monday (February 3) offering a glimpse into the preparations for the event. A post said: “Behind the Scenes: #IG25 Edition! From printing signs to wrapping fleet cars, setting up wayfinding to decking out every venue – we’re in full prep mode to bring you the best Invictus Games ever.
“Every detail counts, and our team is making sure everything is ready for an unforgettable experience. The countdown is ON!” Fans were quick to comment on the post, and many simply can’t wait for the big day.
“Wow beautiful,” wrote one, while another added: “So exciting.”

“Finished all my training for my volunteer shifts at Invictus games 2025,” said a volunteer. “You can find me at the Vancouver convention centre East most days.”
Others added that they, too, couldn’t wait for the start of the games. “Exciting! The day is close!” said one.
Last year, the celebrated the one-year countdown to the 2025 Invictus Games and paid tribute to the participants. He explained why Canada was chosen again as the host country, joking: “There’s a reason the Invictus Games have come back to Canada, because you guys have snow!”

He added: “It is one of the most incredible things. I am so grateful is the entire organizing committee and the government-every single level, here in Canada, for making this, we couldn’t have done this without support right from the get-go.”
“And for those of you that don’t know, it is a logistical nightmare to be able to pull this together and the team have done it and we’ve now got one year to work all together and to give people incredible-in some instances, life changing experience, to these competitors and their families.”
