was inundated with backlash from viewers after it unveiled a guideline on laundry that was set out by the French government.
Presenters and revealed that the guidance advised people to wear jeans for 30 days before washing it, seven for bras, five for t-shirts and three for sports gear.
The government agency said that excessive use of washing machines wastes water and electricity and wears out clothes more quickly.
After releasing a poll on social media, bringing the question up to MP , airing a debate about the topic, viewers admitted they were fed up with the topic when Andi Peters took to the streets and questioned the British public on their laundry habits.
One posted: “@GMB even went out to public to ask this question……Thanks I’m off this is FU***** outrageous.”

A furious viewer fumed: “@GMB funny how we are talking about saving the planet by not washing our clothes all the time & being accused of killing turtles whereas Andi Peters Carbon footprint isn’t an issue travelling the globe to promote the GMB competitions.”
Another added: “Should wear your clothes for 30 days before washing them load of crap.”
A third blasted: “The day we need govt to tell us how often we wash clothes is the day we’re finished! They already poke their nose in every element of our lives…. And our wallets! About time they focused on doing their actual job, given they can’t / won’t even do that properly!” (sic)
As another fumed: “@GMB I’ll stop washing my jeans everyday when @GMB stop flying Andi Peters around the world just to sell their competitions. The weather girl shaking her head for washing clothes but loving the frequent flyer is total hypocrisy.”

During the show, Kate was left shocked by the guidance as she admitted: “Turns out, I wash my clothes more frequently than anybody.”
She then questioned former Conservative special adviser Salma Shah who confessed: “I have jeans that I haven’t washed in a year and I totally get the gym kit thing. I would wear it for three days before I put it in the wash.”
After a stunned Rob blurted out: “You can’t,” Salma hit back: “Yeah, you can. It’s sweat-wicking lycra; you can just throw that back on.”
“I mean, you have to air it out a bit line,” she added before admitting: “Ok, maybe I don’t work out that hard in the gym, but I do go three days in a row.”
