Apple TV is gearing up to release a new romance film with an unexpected twist this Valentine’s Day.
Helmed by Scott Derrickson, the director famed for Marvel’s Doctor Strange, The Gorge promises a love story set against a backdrop of high-octane action.
The narrative centres on two agents assigned to watch over a secretive canyon from opposite ends. The recently unveiled trailer features a line that sets the tone: “The Gorge is the door to hell and we’re standing guard at the gate.”
Despite being part of the same covert operation, the agents are strictly prohibited from interacting with one another or the outside world.

The Gorge introduces us to two elite snipers tasked with monitoring a top-secret area known as the gorge for an entire year.
Communication between them is forbidden, yet they ingeniously find ways to forge a bond from afar. A snippet from the trailer shows the pair engaging in a long-distance chess match using binoculars and exchanging words via placards.
As they uncover the true danger the gorge poses to the world, the operatives must join forces to devise a plan.
Apple TV’s official synopsis states: “Two highly-trained operatives are appointed to posts in guard towers on opposite sides of a vast and highly classified gorge, protecting the world from an undisclosed, mysterious evil that lurks within.
“They bond from a distance while trying to stay vigilant in defending against an unseen enemy. When the cataclysmic threat to humanity is revealed to them, they must work together in a test of both their physical and mental strength to keep the secret in the gorge before it’s too late.”

The edge-of-your-seat thriller is set to launch on Apple TV+ globally, ready for streaming on Friday, February 14.
