Ariana Grande said Wednesday she got a congratulatory call from her gynecologist after her Oscar nomination for “Wicked.” (Watch the video below.)

“That’s a little weird,” talk show host Jimmy Kimmel replied.

Grande countered that it was “lovely,” but said she was concerned at first. “I was like, ‘Oh my god. It’s been a while. We good?’” she said.

After apparently being reassured the call was not clinical, Grande relaxed.

“She was so sweet,” Grande said. “She was like, ‘Oh my God, you did it, I’m so proud.’ And I was like, ‘Thank you, we’ll hug over the next, you know, breast exam or whatever.’”

Grande’s portrayal of Glinda earned her an Oscar nod for Best Supporting Actress in the film adaptation of the Broadway musical.

The ceremony is March 2, but the “thank u, next” singer has already had a few adventures on the red carpet this season.

At the Golden Globes, Grande was asked if her grandmother was still alive, causing a stir on social media.

Kimmel reminded her of a more lighthearted exchange on that same red carpet. Grande’s mother, Joan, conjured a double entendre to describe meeting Harrison Ford, embarrassing the heck out of her famous daughter.
