What experts say about the “perfect” sandwich

While Paul doesn’t give a specific answer, there are some people who think you should use certain loaves to make a sandwich. To put together a basic sandwich people tend to use white bread, sourdough or a baguette.

This is because all options are versatile and can handle a variety of fillings. But, the best bread for a sandwich all depends on what you’re putting inside.

For example, denser breads such as rye are much better for moist ingredients. Meanwhile, lighter breads like ciabatta are perfect for grilled sandwiches with less filling.
