For Saturday, the forecaster echoes the predictions of WXCharts saying showers of rain, sleet and snow will cover the south. Winds blowing from the east will bring a feeling of cold too, as the northwest of England expects a chilly but brighter weekend.
Separately, the long-range forecast shows plummeting temperatures next week. It says, “Breezy winds and increased cloud amounts are expected to exacerbate the cold feel, with temperatures often below average.”
Snow may also creep into next week, as it explains: “Southern and southwestern areas in particular may see some wintry precipitation at times.
“Overnight frost is likely to feature during this period, particularly where skies are clear, however where winds remain breezy this will decrease the overall risk of a hard frost forming.”
