Early life
Born in Phoenix, Arizona, in December 1996, Dever embarked on her acting journey at the tender age of five, nurturing her passion for performing arts ever since.

“My mama. My life. My everything. I don’t even have the words,” she confessed in the emotional tribute.
The actress reminisced, “I miss your smile, your sense of humour, your hugs, your kisses, getting to hold your hand, more than anything in the world.
“You made everything better. my sweetest, beautiful girl. My best friend. Oh how much I love you. What a gift it is to love you. I love you forever and ever, Mom,”
In response to their loss, the star’s loved ones have launched a fundraising initiative in Kathy’s memory, inviting donations towards breast cancer research.
The fundraiser’s page speaks of Kathy’s ordeal as both ‘long’ and ‘unprecendented.’
Diagnosed at the young age of 39 with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer, she valiantly fought up to her last days at 53.
Notwithstanding her daunting struggle, the tribute on the donation page illustrates that she “never spoke of death, only life, looking for the next experience or the next vacation.”
