Amazon Prime adds ‘one of the best films this year’ starring an ‘Oscar worthy’ Jude Law

Amazon Prime has finally added what is widely regarded as ‘one of the best films of last year’, featuring ‘Oscar worthy performances’ from its leading actors.

The Order is now exclusively available for subscribers to enjoy at home, starting today (February 6).

This follows a limited cinema release late last year, which garnered positive reviews from critics and audiences alike.

Despite its brief stint on the big screens in the US and UK, it achieved an impressive 92% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

The film, based on true events, was directed by Justin Kurzel, known for his work on Macbeth starring Michael Fassbender and the film adaptation of the video game franchise Assassin’s Creed.

Don’t miss…

The plot revolves around a series of violent robberies in the Pacific Northwest that lead veteran FBI agent Terry Husk, portrayed by Jude Law, to a white supremacist group led by Bob Mathews, played by Nicholas Hoult.

As they accumulate cash to finance their operations, they strive to execute their malevolent plans to overthrow the federal government.

Both Nicholas Hoult and Jude Law, playing roles inspired by real-life figures, received heaps of praise for their performances in the film, to the point where some spectators temporarily forgot about the actors’ actual roots, .

One viewer admitted: “Midway through the movie, I suddenly remembered Jude Law is British-he’s so convincing in this role. His performance, along with the rest of the cast, was excellent. Nicholas Hoult, in particular, was a standout. I couldn’t have imagined him as a cult leader, having mostly seen him in quirky or sci-fi roles, but this film showcased his range brilliantly.”

Another fan praised the entire production: “That is one of the best films I’ve seen this year. Jude Law was outstanding, take a bow you handsome bugger. Truly terrifying storyline and subject matter that was superbly portrayed by the excellent cast.”

Meanwhile, another observer felt the acting merited greater accolades, remarking: “Jude Law is outstanding or Oscar worthy and so is the excellent supporting cast, alongside the director and gorgeous cinematography that juxtapose an intense and upsetting true crime story set in 1983 about a veteran FBI agent who hunts down the delusional radicals of a white supremacist group that formed.”

A different individual simply hailed the movie as: “The best film of the year, Jude Law and Nicholas Hoult are a tour de force.”

The film’s intense action sequences have drawn comparisons to classic thrillers like Heat and Serpico from critics. One reviewer praised: “Structured like a rural, small-town Heat, the action is drum-tight and though there are a couple of clichéd moments, the performances are superb, with a moustachioed Law digging deep and Hoult chilling as an infamy seeking zealot in the making.”

Another critic observed: “And yet here, as in Kurzel’s other work, you rarely see actual violence. The horror is what lurks inside the characters, the stifling air of rooms where something is rotten.”
