One hobby Prince William and Kate have to ‘regulate’ with George, Charlotte and Louis

has shared a handful of small insights into his private life over the years, including details about his three children.

While the Prince of Wales, 43, is keen for his children Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six, to have as private a childhood as possible, he sometimes cannot help but speak about his family at royal engagements.

Although he usually speaks about their sweet ways the prince did once reveal one of the parenting challenges that he was facing alongside Princess Kate, 43, which involved the children’s screen time.

Speaking in , William said his eldest son George was beginning to enjoy video games, with the prince and Princess Kate having to monitor this.

William said at the time: “At the moment it’s trying to regulate the gaming… monitoring screen time. Got to be careful of that.”

He continued: “They’re fascinated by it. George particularly. He’s more interested in it.

“The other two are a bit too small at the moment but they love the films. I adore film and gaming as well.”

Despite the fact the children are royals, they live a life behind closed doors that is not a million miles away from those of ordinary children.

As well as attending a Berkshire day school, the children also – where the family have lived since 2022 on the Windsor Castle estate – and get pocket money for doing chores.

It is also believed the children spend a lot of time with their parents, , playing in the garden, enjoying walks, or going on bike rides.

Royal expert Katie Nicholl once said: “They are far more ordinary than many might imagine – the kids even have to do chores in return for their pocket money.

“It’s about them wanting to have a normal, happy, ordinary family home and lifestyle which, at Adelaide Cottage, they are really achieving.”
