Teenager April (played by Amelia Flanagan) vanished from the renowned village on Christmas Day after a disagreement with her father Marlon (portrayed by Mark Charnock). Her last sighting was entering an unfamiliar car driven by an unknown person.
This week, the soap opera aired a special episode detailing April’s experiences since she left the Dales. After finding herself homeless in Leeds city centre, April befriended a group of homeless individuals, including Dylan (Fred Kettle).
Dylan introduced April to a dilapidated building where his close friend Becca (Becca Ashton) also resided, and the pair took April under their care. In a shocking turn of events, it was revealed that April was expecting a child.
The episode gave viewers a glimpse into April’s struggles while living on the streets, including witnessing Becca being stabbed as she pursued a thief who had stolen their money.
