Bear Grylls paid a heartfelt tribute to his Celebrity Bear Hunt co-star Holly Willoughby during an appearance on Good Morning Britain. The renowned adventurer joined the ITV programme on Wednesday, 5 February, to discuss the new series with hosts Ed Balls and .
After giving viewers a sneak peek of what to expect from Celebrity Bear Hunt, which debuted on on 5 February, Bear praised ITV star Holly, calling her “humble” and “brave”.
Reflecting on Holly’s recent challenges, Bear told Susanna: “Holly has a beautiful spirit, she really does. As you say, she’s overcome many tough things in her life.”
He added: “I think everybody on this show – myself, the cast, and Holly – all of us were out of our comfort zone. It’s a full on, committing experience in there.
“But I think the jungle does a lot of that for us. It challenges us and builds us up. I came away at the end of that thinking, ‘What a remarkable lady’. Humble, brave, determined.”

Holly, who stepped back from her role on ITV’s This Morning in 2023 and took a hiatus from public life, had previously told MailOnline that joining Celebrity Bear Hunt was an easy decision, reports .
“When Bear called and described the premise of the show, I was like, ‘Okay, well, it sounds great. It also sounds like a show that my kids would love – they love Bear – so it was a bit of a no-brainer,” she shared. “This was definitely a ‘yes’ on a spot.”

Celebrity Bear Hunt features 12 famous faces braving the Costa Rican wilderness, where they are pursued by survival guru Bear. The participants must traverse the demanding terrain, accomplish a series of survival challenges, and dodge Grylls’ capture while trying to avoid elimination as the show progresses.
The star-studded roster includes Joe Thomas, Kola Bokinni, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, Leomie Anderson, Lottie Moss, Mel B, Shirley Ballas, Steph McGovern, Una Healy, Big Zuu, Boris Becker and Danny Cipriani.
Good Morning Britain airs on weekdays from 6am on ITV1. Celebrity Bear Hunt is available to stream via from 5 February.
