Bridget Jones’ Leo Woodall ‘can’t take the Tube’ because he ‘makes husbands jealous’

Leo Woodall confessed that he can no longer take the London Underground Tube as he ‘makes husbands uncomfortable.’ The White Lotus actor portrays the younger love interest of Renee Zellweger’s Bridget Jones in the new film – Mad About The Boy.

The 28-year-old originally shot to fame after appearing in the hit series One Day and The White Lotus HBO series. Having regularly played the love interest role in most of his work, this has made public transport rather difficult for him.

In an interview with Elle UK, the British actor said, “I don’t really get the Tube anymore. (A woman) told me her husband gets really jealous. It was just so uncomfortable.”

He added that his rise to stardom ‘has all been nuts’ for him, explaining: “At first it was, like, ‘oh this is cool’, and pretty quickly it just started to feel a bit icky.”

Leo has reportedly been dating Meghann Fahy, his co-star from The White Lotus, and admitted that he’s been good at “keeping the relationship private.”

“To me, that’s the only way. You see public relationships all the time slapped all over social media, and I can’t imagine that’s any fun. It should be a safe space, so I think letting people into it is completely counterproductive,” he said.

Another project of Leo’s that has dropped on Apple TV is a thriller series called Prime Target. He plays a young mathematician, Edward Brooks, on the edge of a breakthrough – but his life is quickly put in danger when an unseen enemy tries to sabotage his idea.

Last year, Leo was tipped to become the next James Bond after his critically acclaimed performance in One Day.
