Steph McGovern’s secret life with TV executive girlfriend and incredible weight loss

, one of Britain’s most prominent journalists and TV presenters, has graced our screens on as the main business presenter and with her own programme, Steph’s Packed Lunch on

Yet, regarding her personal life, the 42-year-old is intensely private. So much so that, as Metro reported, the name of her partner, a TV executive, remains undisclosed to the public.

The couple also welcomed a baby girl into their lives, whose name remains just as private, and Steph had initially denied rumours of her pregnancy. A source divulged to The Sun in July 2019 upon the announcement of Steph’s pregnancy, “Steph and her girlfriend are absolutely thrilled,” adding that there was a buzz of excitement amongst her colleagues.

“Everyone at the Beeb is delighted too – she is one of the most popular faces on and off the red sofa. But she won’t be doing any magazine shoots any time soon – she values her privacy too much.”

Their daughter, who represents Steph’s first foray into motherhood, arrived in November 2019. Announcing the joyous news on Twitter, Steph wrote: “Well hello world, just surfaced to let you know that we now have a daughter! Born on Monday morning just as Breakfast was wrapping up. We’re all fine and dandy. Just getting used to the eau de sick/poo I am now regularly wearing. #babylife”, reports .

Consequently, Steph confided in Metro that she discovered the pandemic lockdowns surprisingly “manageable” given the extensive time she was already accustomed to spending at home with her loved ones.

The topic of ‘baby sick’ resurfaced as the TV host resumed her professional duties. She shared on her initial day back: “Made it out of the house for my first day of serious work (without baby sick on me). I felt like high fiving people as I walked down the street (I say walked, I mean stumbled… not quite got used to being in heels again! ) #parentachievements.”

Steph has also recently , titled ‘Deadline.’

Taking to , she wrote, “BREAKING NEWS. Eeeee I can’t believe it! I can finally reveal the book cover for my thriller, Deadline.”

She then gave the synopsis of the book, which involves someone’s child being kidnapped whilst they are live on air. She signed off with: “You can preorder the book now. Link is in my biog! Also, I’ll be doing lots of book events next year so watch out for those too.”
